Pinterest Source

Hope you have been enjoying the beautiful inspiration Pinterest based projects!  I know I have!

While I do not have a green thumb, I absolutely LOVE flowers of all kinds!  This layout was based on these beautiful roses…paper, glitter dust, and zots style!

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg09

Here’s a closer look at the glitter dusted paper roses…and I’m loving our new Therm O Web Glitter Dust Photo Corners!

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg10

Here’s the supplies I used:

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg01

Therm O Web Supplies:

Zots – Small
Zots – Medium
Glitter Dust – Iridescent
Glitter Dust Photo Corners – Gold (COMING SOON!!)
Sticky Tape Runner

Other supplies:

Patterned paper – Crate Paper
Vellum – Ruby Rock-it Bella! Fundamentals
Flower punch – Marvy
Butterfly punch – Martha Stewart

Let’s create those paper roses!
Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg02

You will need 4 punches of the flowers.  You can use any 5 petal flower punch or diecut.

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg03

On a soft surface, like a stamping mat, or mousepad, take the tip of an embossing tool, and gently press into the center of petal.

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg04

Next, curl the edge of each petal over a small tool, or pencil.  Repeat with 3 petals.

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg06

For the 4th petal, once you have pressed in the center of the petal, simply roll up the petals to create the center of the rose.

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg11

Adhere each flower layer with Zots.  Spray lightly with Glitter Dust.

Pinterest.TOW.EYamabe.jpeg07

And voila!  I’ve also added one paper rose to this quick card:)

Thanks for stopping by and making Therm O Web part of your creative day!

Sweet Valentine Treats for Teachers

Since I’ve been wearing the Room Mom hat for over 5 years, we are always looking for new ways to show our appreciation!  This year, we are recycling some of the girls’ art boxes, and putting the card inside the box, and the gift cards right on top!

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg7

Here’s the supplies we used:

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg1

Therm O Web supplies:

Glitter Corners – Silver
Sticky Lines
Foam Squares
Glitter Dust – Pink
Mini Sticky Tape Runner
ICraft Adhesive sheets
ICraft Adhesive Tape – 1/4 inch
Zots – 3D

Other Supplies:

Heart Diecut – Sizzix
Distress Star Dust Dry Fine Glitter – Ranger
Patterned paper – Crate Paper
Doily – Joanns
Lace, Pearl Trim – Scrapbook Island
Flower – Prima

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg8

To decorate the outside and top of the box, cut patterned paper to size of box.  Adhere with Sticky Lines around perimeter of the box.  Create paper bow, adhere with Mini Sticky Tape Runner and foam squares.  To create the glittered heart:  Adhere ICraft Adhesive sheet to cardboard.  Run through die cut machine [this is a Sizzix 4 heart die cut].  Peel off adhesive layer, sprinkle loose glitter and tap off.  Adhere heart to paper bow with 3D Zots.  Adhere bling with 1/2 3D zot.

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg9

For the top of the box, spray doily with a light coat of Glitter Dust in pink.  I then layered and adhered the following with the Mini Sticky Strip runner: Doily to paper, heart to doily, and gift card holder to inside of heart.

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg2

To create gift card holder, start with a 6 in by 6 in piece of paper.

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg3

Fold in half on the diagonal.

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg4

Score at the 2 7/8 inch mark, from both sides.

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg5

Open up the paper, and fold new score marks over to meet in the middle.

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg6

Fold in half, from the outside, so you create the pocket for the gift card.

TOW.February12.EYamabe.jpeg9

Slide gift card into the Glitter Corners, adhere to patterned paper.  And voila!

A few peaks at the pages:

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg06

The background has some white paint and Glitter Dust in Iridescent sprayed on.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg05

This tag has some stamping, with a light coat of Glitter Dust in Iridescent over it, and some doilies and parchment papers layered in.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg03

Next, let’s take a look at how to create the half orb, adorning the top of the snowflake.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg10

Supplies needed include: a ruler, bone folder, Zots for bling, and a 1.5 circle punch.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg11

Punch 5 circles from the patterned paper.  Score at the 3/8″ mark.  These will become equilateral triangles.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg13

Fold at the score mark, and then find the center on the back of the circle.  Mark with a pencil.  That becomes your next score line point.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg14

Repeat on all 3 sides.  Fold on all score lines.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg15

The five circles have now become scored equilateral triangles.  Next, simply add zots to the edges and adhere one triangle to the next.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg16

Continue adhering the triangles together, creating the half orb, that will be adhered to your snowflake.  Lastly, spray with light coat of Iridescent Glitter Dust.

JanuaryTOW.EYamabe.jpeg03

And voila!  Happy Crafting, and thanks for stopping by!

Fall Home Decor | Zots & Glitter Dust

Hello Therm O Web fans, and Happy Fall!  Hope you are enjoying all the fun this season brings you!

Here’s a little project created for my front door, featuring our ZOTS and Glitter Dust!

This darling set of branches found at a local craft store was just perfect for what I had in mind!

The layers were so easy to put together with our foam squares and zots!  And the Glitter Dust is also a sealant, so it helps to keep it altogether with just one coat!

1.  Cut strip of 3×12″ paper for the banner.  Cut ends of banner.

2.  Double fold about 2 inches from each end, add foam squares between the folds.  Secure with foam squares to branches.

3.  Adhere embellishments onto banner.  For the Pumpkin, the Martha Stewart all around the page punch was used.  The Boo, Trick or Treat and Pumpkin were sprayed with Irridescent Glitter Dust.

Do you see the bits of glitter?  Love that it dries so quickly, too!

4.  Add green ribbon and wrap around from behind the branches, securing with foam squares.  Adhere Bakers Twine on top of the scalloped unfolded flower, and secure Glitter Dust spider with zot.

5.  For the rolled flowers, the supplies needed are:  patterned paper, favorite die cuts, quilling tool, Zots, and foam squares.

6.  When you roll the paper, roll towards the side you wish to show.

7.  The very bottom of the die cut will have a space to place the zot.  Then, simply push the rolled papers into the zot.  3D zots work best for dimensional work.

8.  Adhere the rolled flowers with zots, these were placed in bunches around the banner and just underneath.

9.  Cut and adhere some papers from behind the branches.

10.  Adhere flowers and spiders as desired, with zots.

Products used:

Foam squares

Glitter Dust

3D zots

MFT Stamps diecuts

Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor

Martha Stewart Pumpkin punch, spider stickers

May Arts ribbon

Prima flowers

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to take advantage of the sale going now supporting such a GREAT cause!
